Strong Presence of the CGS at the Constantine International Symposium on Seismic Risk, Urbanization, and Resilience in the Western Mediterranean !
CGS actively participated in the SURE-MED 2025 International Symposium, organized from October 26 to 29 by the University of Constantine. The event was dedicated to the theme: "Seismic Risk, Urbanization, and Resilience in the Western Mediterranean."
The high-level CGS delegation—comprised of executives, research directors, and senior researchers—stood out for its dynamic participation through oral communications and poster presentations (see program in photos).
In addition to delivering their own presentations, Dr. Assia BOUCHELOUH, Dr. Youcef BOUHADDAD, and Dr. Faouzi GHERBOUDJ co-chaired several technical sessions. Dr. BOUHADDAD and Dr. GHERBOUDJ also served as members of the event's Scientific Committee, receiving warm thanks from the organizers for their invaluable contribution to the symposium's success.
Furthermore, the symposium organizers honored Dr. Raouf BENCHARIF and Dr. Faouzi GHERBOUDJ by awarding them "Best Presentation" trophies in the following thematic areas:
- Ground Response: Geotechnical Engineering, Site Effects, and Seismic Hazard Mitigation
- From Rupture to Record: Seismic Signatures and Source Processes
