CGS Participation in the TuniRock 2026 International Conference

Dr. Hamid Bourenane, Research Director at the CGS, represented the Center at the 3rd International Conference on Advances in Rock Mechanics (TuniRock 2026), held in Hammamet, Tunisia, from April 9th to 12th, 2026.

This high-level event brought together a panel of international academics and experts. On this occasion, Dr. Bourenane presented a technical paper entitled: “Geomorphological, hydrogeological and geotechnical characteristics of the El Kherba large, deep-seated landslide induced by the August 7th, 2020 (Mw 4.9) earthquake in the city of Mila, northeast Algeria.”

This presentation highlighted the CGS's expertise in analyzing geotechnical risks and landslide phenomena induced by seismicity in Algeria.
