Dr. Raouf Bencharif, researcher at the Centre for Seismic Engineering (CGS), will host a live webinar on May 22, 2026. He will present a conference-debate entitled "Walls according to RPA 2024", focused on the design and calculation of reinforced concrete walls in accordance with the new Algerian seismic regulation.

This regulation introduces a major advancement compared to conventional wall calculation methods: the concept of ductility. A large turnout at this event will enable professionals and researchers to better understand the behavior of these essential elements for the seismic bracing of structures, and thereby contribute to the future improvement of the national regulatory text.
