Dr. Hakim Bechtoula, Director of the CGS, accompanied by Drs. Mehdi Boukri, Noureddine Mezouar, and Faouzi Gharbouj, was invited to participate in the regional workshop on urban resilience, smart cities, and risk-informed development. The event was organized by the Arab League’s International Center for Earthquake and Natural Disaster Risk Prevention and held in Algiers on June 29–30, 2026.The workshop hosted delegations from Arab League member states, as well as numerous Arab, regional, and international organizations and representatives from countries concerned with disaster risk issues.
