 Ceremony for newly recruited researchers

The CGS organized a welcome and induction ceremony for newly recruited researchers as part of the recruitment process launched by the Centre.

The ceremony, held on September 20, 2026, at the Seismic Engineering Laboratory in Sebala, was chaired by the Director of the Centre, Dr. Hakim Bechtoula, accompanied by his staff.

On this occasion, in order to inform the new recruits and familiarize them with the Centre’s organization and operations, Dr. Raouf Bencharif, Research Engineer, gave a general presentation on the CGS, covering its organizational structure, missions, and main achievements. He also provided an overview of seismology and earthquake engineering, which are two major areas of the Centre’s activities. The presentation is available on the CGS website: www.cgs-dz.org.

The heads of the various divisions and departments then took turns presenting their respective structures and main activities.

The ceremony provided the newly recruited researchers with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the Centre’s organization, missions, and activities, and to become familiar with their new professional environment. On this occasion, the new recruits expressed their satisfaction and confidence regarding their integration into the CGS.
