Mr. Hakim BECHTOULA, Director of the CGS, attended the opening ceremony of the 28th edition of the BATIMATEC trade fair on May 3, 2026. The CGS took part in the event with an exhibition booth, thereby affirming its presence at this major national event.

A dedicated space was set aside for the sale of regulatory technical documents, including the new version of the seismic regulations (RPA2024). Available stocks were quickly sold out, indicating the strong interest this edition generated among visitors.

Dr. Raouf BENCHARIF, who was manning the Center’s booth, readily answered visitors’ questions. Some, interested in the organization’s activities and particularly its earthquake engineering laboratory, requested general information. Others, with more technical concerns, sought clarification on “Reinforced concrete structures under the new Algerian Seismic Regulation RPA2024.”
