Communication by Dr. Bencharif Raouf in Relizane on February 7, 2026

Dr. Raouf Bencharif represented the CGS at the Seminar on Materials and Engineering Structures (ISMES 2025), organized on February 7, 2026, by Ahmed Zabana University of Relizane.

During this scientific event, Dr. Bencharif spoke in a plenary session to present a paper entitled: "Site Effects and Soil Classification: Towards a Better Estimation of Seismic Action in the Algerian Regulation."

The objective of this presentation was to open a debate on the impact of local soil conditions on the seismic response, and to examine how the Algerian Seismic Regulations could evolve to better take these phenomena into account.
