Strong Presence of the CGS at the Constantine International Symposium on Seismic Risk, Urbanization, and Resilience in the Western Mediterranean
CGS actively participated in the SURE-MED 2025 Symposium, organized from October 26 to 29 by the University of Constantine, focusing on the theme: "Seismic Risk, Urbanization, and Resilience in the Western Mediterranean."
The high-level CGS delegation, composed of executives, research directors, and researchers, stood out for its dynamic participation through oral communications and poster presentations (see program photos).
In addition to their presentations, Dr. Assia BOUCHELOUH, Dr. Youcef BOUHADDAD, and Dr. Faouzi GHERBOUDJ co-chaired several sessions. Dr. BOUHADDAD and Dr. GHERBOUDJ also served on the event’s Scientific Committee, receiving heartfelt thanks from the organizers for their valuable contribution.
The symposium organizers also honored Dr. Raouf BENCHARIF and Dr. Faouzi GHERBOUDJ by awarding them the "Best Presentation" trophies in the following categories:
- Ground Response: Geotechnical Engineering, Site Effects, and Seismic Hazard Mitigation.
- From Rupture to Record: Seismic Signatures and Source Processes.
